Our Mission
The Normandy Park Police Foundation is an independent community-based, non-profit organization supporting efforts that enhance our Normandy Park Police Department, Community Alliances, Crime Prevention and Public Safety.
The Normandy Park Police Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the safety and quality of life for the approximately 6,500 residents across our beautiful 2.5 square miles in southwest King County, WA. As a vital support to the Normandy Park Police Department, which consists of 10 commissioned officers, 3 reserve officers, and dedicated administrative staff, the Foundation plays a crucial role in fostering a safe, vibrant, and connected community.
- Community Safety Tools: Implementing technology like Flock cameras to detect and deter crime effectively, ensuring a safer environment for all citizens.
- Paws on Patrol: Engaging pet owners in community surveillance activities, enhancing neighborhood watch capabilities and fostering community spirit.
- Youth and Community Engagement: Funding programs like 'Shop with a Cop,' which builds positive relationships between police and community youth, celebrating significant milestones and supporting our officers' well-being.
- Crime Prevention Education: Promoting initiatives such as the RAD Women’s Self-Defense Program, empowering individuals with the skills to protect themselves and support others.
